SEAN PAYTON

Sean Payton, an American football coach and former quarterback, led the New Orleans Saints to their first Super Bowl victory in 2009 during his tenure as head coach from 2006 to 2021. In 2023, he joined the Denver Broncos. Payton played professionally with the Chicago Bears in 1987 and the Leicester Panthers in Britain in 1988.

Starting as an offensive assistant at San Diego State University, Payton transitioned to various coaching roles before becoming the Saints' head coach in 2006. Known for his offensive prowess, he achieved remarkable milestones, including leading the Saints to three NFC Championship games and a Super Bowl win.

Beyond football, Payton authored the New York Times bestseller "Home Team: Coaching the Saints and New Orleans Back to Life" and established the Payton’s Play it Forward Foundation, focusing on family and children's welfare.

In 2023, the Denver Broncos traded for Payton, marking a significant move in his coaching career.
